Does anyone have any experience with repairs to Crown XTI 4000? Need some help with one.
Would it be possible to assist me with a repair that I am doing on an XTI 4000 if possible or any tips if you have come across the following issue, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
When powered on the unit powers on normally, when signal is applied and the gain pots are adjusted to about 3/4 level CHA -10db led will not illuminate and the clip led will activate flashing and the output sounds as though the amp is limiting the signal, CHB leds would gradually illuminate as the gain is increased the -10db led would illuminate on this channel and no clip if you increase the gain a little further then the clip led will illuminate and the out put is good. Output stage of CHA checked good, Tracker is good. Could you advise?

Sounds like you haven't read the manual on these amplifiers and how the digital part works. Here is a link to the gargler.
