That’s about the right length of time for the amp to overheat and switch to the lower rail voltage (and stay there till it cools down). That would be normal, if you are driving it hard. If it happens at low signal level it could be running hot from over bias - which would make the ODEP circuit think it’s being overloaded and do the same thing.

If you want factory recommended numbers, look it up in the service manual. Lacking other information (or in my designs) I set fully complementary triple emitter followers (which this is) for 3 millivolts across one of the output stage emitter resistors. May be lower than what the service manual recommends, but will get rid of gross crossover distortion and *not* run hot just idling.

There are *two* sides to the bridge on each channel, and the biases are independent.
