Finished it this week. $3500
OBO
Rare Crown Macro Reference Esoteric Version with an even rarer FXP P.I.P which gives you RCA input option along with 1/4" Jack, or balanced inputs. This was just serviced and had all new output transistors (24 MJ21195G/MJ21196G which are OnSemi's best offerings and new SilPads, New drivers and pre drivers and all transistors with heatsinks were cleaned and fresh heat sink compound applied, all voltage checks and all bias settings correctly adjusted to 350 mv. Cleaned and detailed and had about 50 hours of labor to do the tasks . The amp was manufactured in about 1993and it is a serious power house and sounds awesome. The front panel Electro-Luminescence lightening is working but I have the switch turned off. I also added 5 bid feet so at least you can get your hands under it should you have the need to move it around
If you are lucky enough to own one of these, here is your chance to get another and then it will peg the "Fun Meter" by letting you bridge them and crank out gobs of power. The specs on the amp are below. I ship fast and since I ship ALOT of amps, it will be safe and secure in good packing material and insured for big bucks. Operators manual and Service manual is available on Crowns Website.
the Esoteric has two pairs of solid-brass Cardas binding posts and two gold-plated RCA inputs, vs the Studio's standard pair of plastic five-way binding posts and 1/4" phone inputs. Internally they're identical, except for different input sensitivities (775mV for the Studio, 1.4V for the Esoteric), which can be switched to 26dB gain (equal to 3.9V sensitivity) on both units. Features such as a ground lift and switches to choose between stereo, bridged mono, and parallel mono are all controlled from the rear panel.
