I'm interested in crossing a 5" Dayton Full Range with a 1-2" tweeter. Anybody got any suggestions for me?
P.S. - The amp that I'm using is a Lepai T-Class (TA-2020) @25 watt x 2 channel
Thanks in Advance,
Nicholas G.

Off the top of my head I would suggest you start with a simple 1st order. That means getting yourself something around a 1 - 2 mfd cap. What's the nominal impedance of the tweeter?
Several paper coned 2" tweeters out there krips.... as a matter of fact I've heard some pretty impressive systems that inluded a largish paper cone tweeter. Odd yes but not unheard of....
2" tweeter?
yes, 2"...
Thanks for the input everybody, I'll try to add a cap into the line on the tweet...I don't think that the Dayton 5" needs any crossover at all...
Any more ideas?
Also, anybody know anything about porting? I wasn't planning on porting, but how do you know when you need to?
Run simulations using free box design software. Which driver you using? The pro driver has .49 Qts so maybe could port (haven't run nos) The others I see have higher Q so porting unlikely to be practical.
