I'd like some advice on the crossover as i'm moving from a two way to a three way setup. Bass is a 15" reflex cab with 300w amp. Mid is 10" sealed box, 150w amp, and top is a 5" plus horn driven by 150w. The crossover is an old style with plug in units so i need to set the frequencies.

old style plug in cards... i hope it's at least 12db per octave. care to share make and model number?
can you tell us more about the 5" plus horn or upload a pic? i'm assuming this has some form of passive x-over?

Or consider ditching the old Xover for a more recent model with infinite variability and more flexibility. Like:

Crossover is a Cloud AX2300; don't know about it's rep, but it works well. The horn on the top box comes in at about 5K, where the 5" drops off, tuned by ear with a cap and resistor.
250 and 800 Hz sounds like a good plan. I shall give it a go and adjust if needs be.
Thanks.
