Im thinking about just going with a 3-way design instead. The reason i wanted to go with 15’s is because i wanted a flat response to 40hz and in a reasonably sized cabinet (pref under 4 cuft). I would have just made a 3-way with a 15” sub, a mid and a tweeter but the issue is the mid driver i chose is starts rolling off at 1000 hz and i dont want to cross a heavy 15” up at 1000 hz lol. Instead im opting for a 7” aurum cantus ac180f1 in a vented enclosure and ill cross that to my mid at 1000hz. My only concern is that ill lose the impact, punch, and dynamics of my current fronts thanks to their 10” drivers in a sealed enclosure. What electronics are using? If using a typical AVR, I would use the built-in sub crossover to cross (and level match) the sub to the 6". Otherwise you will have really big crossover costs for no good reason. And you would lose sensitivity. So think 3-way crossed to a sub.
