Which brands of capacitors and inductors are recommended for hi-fi loudspeaker designs keeping price and quality in mind. (If the diffrence in quality is worth it I'll most likely pay it.) Thanks in advance.

Hello Scott,
I would start by looking at the Solen website.
Look at the 'fast' capacitors and 'hepta-litz' inductors.
I find these parts to be quite good when hooked up in a point to point crossover and with quality wire.
Long break-in is necessary.
Cheers,
KevinLee🙂

hi
there is a brief text on crossover components on the ariel web site:
http://www.aloha-audio.com/Arieltxt2.html#xt
or go to ldsg: (good reference)
http://ldsg.snippets.org/appdx-e.php3
good luck

By the way, solen caps are subject to a lot of discussion, some like them, others not at all, but if you dont want to pay 35USD for a single capacitor, they might be a good choice. There has been discussion on this forum about croosover components in a tread called " Audio Caps Rules" or something like that. Go read it
Good luck
