I have a Behringer DDM4000 mixer that has a 3pin crossfader .
Iv been trying to find a fader to replace the cuurent with and have only managed to find the Infinium X1 that im struggling to fit as my current faders ribbon is hard wired to the main board of the mixer and the Infinium Fader has a Mal pulg on its ribbon that was supposed to just fit into the Mainboard.
So my question is.
Iv seen many other 3 pin cross faders that would fit nicely on the current ribbon (attached to mainboard)
but hte models are for pioneer ect.
But as they are 3 pin (with a 3pin female on the fader), is it not logical to think that they will work on my mixer. The mixers ribbon Being hardwired to the mainboard but has a Male 3 pin Terminal that would fit right into any 3 pin female fader.
Whats the rules when it comes to fader replacment.
Im hoping to buy a generic 3 pin fader and try this.
Any advice???

The rules for fader replacement (in general) are:
- Resistance Value---e.g., 10K, 25K, 100K, etc.
- Resistance Taper---linear, audio, or reverse audio
- Travel--usually 5 to 100 mm
- FIT dimensions---this is often the most difficult to match
- Type of connector---although you can always just splice the old one onto the new fader
- Type of conductive material--usually plastic faders are best

Contact a Behringer parts seller, I think Full COmpass is one. Don't just look on a web site, ASK them if they can supply the part.
I don't know how that model is made, but crossfaders are often different from plain old channel faders, as they must turn down one side while turning up the other.

A truly good cross-fader is a VERY special part.
The B-ringer is not a high-class box, but Uli buys SO many pots that if he wants a custom part the pot-makers will shower him in samples. In fact a higher-price product from B-ringer seems to be optical (which offers different problems, but not-so-much wear).

Thanks guys.
i appreciate your feedback.
Heres a pic of the original fader that was in the B DDM4000
if any1 can see what they are looking at and can give me some info on the fader and where i may find a compatible or better still the exact model and make.
I would be very greatfull.
im trying my best also, but i lack the experience to figure this out. So any help, even if its just details , will do.
Thanks again guys.
