Thanks for coming back to me on that one, some useful info on that . I might try to get a listen to the 8NDL51 if I can then , would prefer to see some 'fuzz' and not too much treatment on the cone, as per the 8PE21 .
On the distortion graphs, the consideration was whether the graphs could be used as a rigorous comparison between the two drivers - unfortunately as the drive level goes up, the distortion products rise closer to the fundamental . Looking on the good side, they are BOTH excellent .
In my horn, this driver will be operating as an upper-bass/lower-mid from about 100 to 1000Hz and so the sharp upper mids and treble of the paper cone become less of an issue . Also the drive level will be tiny - about 0.1W typical !!

I found the Zaphaudio and Augerpro websites. Excellent data , similar test conditions. Looks like the ferrite one is better for my purposes .
