Hi all, could you read here How to: Make your Sound Blaster Live/Audigy sound better? - Overclock.net - Overclocking.net , please? And tell me what you think? If its a good one, can this be done in Karmic Koala (Ubuntu 9.10)?

It may be possible to reconfigure outputs in pulseaudio control panel - I do not use pulseaudio thus I do not know its details.
If you decide to remove pulseaudio from your system and use pure alsa (or you can test without pulseaudio started), switchning channels is just a matter of your .asoundrc configuration

Welcome to the club! 😀
Cheers!
Tried this last time on my Audigy, not sure if it sounded better but I did hear a difference, but that could be mostly due to the kX driver vs Creative driver )I preferred the Creative).
But kX driver was buggy that time and I decided to forget it.
Anyway either way a simple cheap USB PCM270x DAC still sounded better.
