Creating new PCB Contacts

Hi, I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to electronics. So this shouldn't be too difficult a question for you guys.

I was trying to solder a wire to a PCB contact (y'know the tiny round silver bits with the hole in the middle). Made a mistake and the solder ring around the hole lifted right out. Now there is only a hole there.

Question is, how do I connect a wire to it now that the solder contact is gone? Or how do I make a new contact?

Thanks

You can scratch a bit of the isolation from the route where the 'ring' was. The result is blank copper where the new solder will happily stick on. Ply the leg of the component as close as possible to the PCB.
