I've been asked to make a mask for a dvd projection.
My client is a ceramic artist who wants to project an animation of a night-time sky onto a back wall of his installation. However, he doesn't want the projection to light his ceramics and would like the mask to be in the shape of mountains. (!) Is there a way of creating a dvd projection mask??? Any help would be most appreciated!

Well if it's going to be played via a DVD, then I can't see why you need a mask. If it's and image or animation of a night sky with moving white starts, then automatically on the dark ceramic, the night sky will remain dark and the white stars will come out white on the white ceramics. You may have to play about with the contrast. I'm not sure if thats what you want to do.
