I just received my Crate V Series V212B 2x12 cab today.

I built Rod Elliot's Project 27 which is rated at 100 watts at 4 ohms. The cab is 100 watts at 8 ohms.
The Problem: This thing rattles. Any bass frequencies cause it to rattle. Other things in the room rattle as well, but I don't think the cab itself should. I tightened the 4 screws on the front, and that decreased some of the rattling at lower volumes. I plan to use this for recording purposes.
Is this normal? Can I fix it?

Hi,
If it was shipped roughly, you may have to retighten the screws everywhere.
Failing that, see if you can find out what is rattling.
Cheers!

No, the cab itself shouldn't rattle - as suggested, something is probably use, although it could be a duff driver as well.
If you're using it for recording, why not just DI to record? - no such problems then.
