What a nice web site !!!

I m completely newby in hi-fi diy. Some days ago, I went to a friend s house and he showed me his SoZ amp. I felt enthousiastic when I heard the sound coming out from this device.

I m looking some more info about the parts involved in this project. Really good capacitors seems to be quite critical to obtain a good sound. I ve also heard about cerafine, blackgate and so on. Could anybody explain me the differences between these differents parts. Also I would be happy if somebody could give me some advices about which capacitors I should use in fully balanced SoZ preamp, and the SoZ.

Well, I use normal computer-grade electrolytic capacitors in powersupplies. If a capacitor is in the signalpath I use MKP caps, and if the value is high I use some good electrolytic caps, like Elna Cerafine..
