Hi I have had this pre for atleast 15 years and think its time for a tube change,I have never ever had any problem with it unlike most people here,I don't have a manual and am wondering how to bias the new tubes,or if you have to? I understand basing is rather simple can be done with a multi meter.? I have heard lots of people say you don't have to bias a preamp, and some say you do. If anyone knows how to get a manual for this pre I would really appreciate it and also the readings for biasing the tubes properly ,one more thing I have heard some of the tubes can be swapped to improve the sound does anyone know wich ones?
Thanks
Ralph
Thanks

If there are pre sets on the pcb then they are likely to be biasing pre sets.
Personally I would be inclined to just renew the tubes and see how it sounds.

Thanks for the reply,so you don't think I can do any damage to the unit or the tubes?

Depends on whether someone has played with them before you.
