Could someone help me with this box build.
The speaker: Ds18 Slc8s 200rms 8ich 4omh
The Box: length: 122cm width: 31.5cm hight: 15vm(as small as I possibly can)
The plan is to have the sub in the middle of the shelf of the table and for the Ports to be semetrical on both side, I have drawn a diagram for the box im the way I would like, the question would it work?
Don’t mind the ply it will be Sanded and prepped once everything is ready. Also using 18mm ply

Two things:
1. The 45s in the corners are not needed and serve no useful purpose
2. Try redoing the design to have as few bends as possible in the vents.

@Brian Steele
Should I just make 2 straight vents, and how big would I need the vents to be and also how the vents should be?
Btw, thanks for replying

Indeed! Once the speaker is boxed in, the legs aren't going anywhere.
Ack! Collapsed views caught me out again!

😅 the table is all good, it’s been playing and all works well, just this sub box Design am struggling on, not sure about the vents, the box is ganna be 6inch thick/15cm the subs it self is just below 4inch, is there any calculations I need for the box? How big to get the vents and how big the ports should be

OK, a T/S max flat vented alignment is Vb = 71.66 L, Fb = 26.33 Hz, so very under-damped with very low power handling down low (~130 W below ~60 Hz).
You show dual vents on each side, but just one 5"/12.7 cm dia. vent (total) even at this low power is already 62.7 cm/24.69" long, so forget multiples unless you want to damp them like a TL.

For this ~26 Hz alignment, yes with the understanding that if you pump > ~130 W (peak) into it, it will at some higher power point start audibly 'chuffing'/'choking', though will protect the driver somewhat, but go to multiples or just a bigger/longer vent and then there's no protection unless you do it digitally with some form of EQ/hi-pass filter.
That said, since it's an outdoor setting, personally would tune it up around 32 Hz (prosound tuning, 16"/40.7 cm long) for up to +6 dB SPL output in the 32 - 80 Hz BW and EQ it down if necessary rather than make things worse by boosting it.
Note too that above ~100 Hz the driver can handle its full 400 W rating, so can EQ/boost as required to flatten it out over a wider BW if desired.

Hey, I decided to make the Box Volume: 1.65f3
And Tune it at 36Hz, the question I have using WinISD is that the port length is 68.61cm, do I take away the ports area from 1.65ft3?
From my understanding just need to calculate for the ports walls right?
The images shown below should help understand what I mean
The volume with the port is at 1.65ft3
All walls and everything else is calculated to make 1.65ft3

Rear chamber volume is the amount of internal volume remaining after deducting the volume occupied by port(s), driver(s), bracing and amplifier.
