hi there,
i have a sharp tv subwoofer(very nice and powerful bass)...
the tv is spoilt so just left the woofer...
now i want to make this subwoofer to use with my pc plug to the subwoofer jack...
i have make a 25W subwoofer to achieve it but the sound is not nice... with some funny sound... but then i put a 2200uF capacitor at the +ve of the speaker and then the -ve of the capacitor is connector to a resistor and last is ground...
and now the sound is better but there is not much of bass... not powerful...
can anyone tell me what to do or post me a correct diagram?
and i want to ask what is crossover, LFE and bridge amplifier?
my speaker and amplifier detail:
woofer is 20W and 5ohm impedance is a active loudspeaker type
amplifier is currently controlled by a TDA2005 chip.
10z for u all helping!!!!

correct amplifier for subwoofer
For the actual schematic go to--http://www.ozitronics.com/data/tda2005.pdf
If its a sub amp you must use some kind of active low-pass filter preceding the amp. And about the funny noise ,it could be the result of oscillations in the amplifier resulting from improper ground conections.
