If you have the chance, why not go cut a couple pieces of wood and let us know. I for one would like to "hear" the results, including shifting the boards around; ie: changing the angles.
I'm lucky, it's a "play with speakers" day for me but I'm dealing with the other end of the scale, trying to get a mid bass to mate with a full range and a ribbon tweeter. Lot's of hours, no great results yet.

Won't that be a waste of power and drivers?
Due to the length of low frequency waves, most if not all the output of such a system will cancel out because the system is forced to radiate only into the "cancellation angles".
