I currently have an integrated amp but would like to convert it to a pure amp.
Can I just bypass the volume control or are there other things I need to do?

I switch mine back and forth, from integrated to power, I just leave the volume all the way up when I am using a preamp with it
Of course completely removing the volume pot could have some slight sonic improvement. Just wire the input to the grid of the first stage, but don't remove the fixed grid resistor.

I think you have to connect both of the cathodes of the input tube to a cathode resistor. For the moment one cathode is floating...
