Do you guys have an idea about this issue ? I found this commercial dia projector;

http://www.reflecta.de/htms.com/p_dpr04.htm

I thought this thing can easily convert to diy lcd projector (?) I have 5" Psone lcd screen but I am worrying about lens size...

This dia projector has "multi-coated lens Agomar MC 2.8/90 mm (heloical shaft 42.5 mm diameter) " and my Psone thing lol has 5" screen size. I have zero experience with physics, so I could not calculate it. Please give me some adivse about lens size / Psone LCD :angel: ( my living room has some 3 meters of seating distance.. and I want 60" diagonal picture )

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Except the lens size, there is no uncertain thing for me. I could dismantle whole the device and I could modify its case for my Psone lcd screen... Give me some advises ... :scratch: :wiz: :wrench:

Thx molesterman again 🙂 Actually low res & small ( < 2" ) tft screens cause terrible screen door effect when projecting image. I had a Philips LCP-5200, and its lcd panel was around one inch and resolution was 300x200 (= 180.000 pixels)

With that thing, screen door effect level was extremely bad because of small panel and very low res. However 5"> low res lcd panels don' t make that bad screen door effect. ( even with 50"-60" screen size )

BTW majority of the dia projectors producted in Germany ( why lol : )) 😕 😱

House machine you still got that Phillips LCP?
also,this thread is probably years old but ill give it a shot anyway, dont they have cell phone LCD's or portable TV's or like PSP screens that are HD now? even low HD like 480I or something of the like?
i figured if you had one of those Phillips LCPs might be able to convert it over to and HD screen by using the above mentioned HD cellphone screen.its a 50/50 shot,but hey it just might work right? thats what i want one for cause the Phillips LCP 5201 just looks plain awesome. if i can find one and and a small HD LCD screen,im def going to ttry even got a 1000 lumen OSTAR OSRAM led picked out that i think might suit as the back-light perfectly.
