Convert valve output stage to pre amp

Good day all.

I had a long and slow project but manage to get it done 2 weeks ago. It is a I Tube Zator output stage (SRPP) using x2 6922. Somehow by now having a pre amp important then a output buffer because I may need it for my future turntable setup. Therefore I had converted to a pre amp by adding L pad (47k and 10k) before 20k V.pot then to the tube - Pin no.2.

Before that I had problems to find the closest match for V out from my CDP. I add on a 20k v pot before and after the buffer and all don't work well - the gain was overly high.

To my shallow understanding to build a correct, proper pre amp, I need more advise and recommendation what the best I can max out from this pre. My plan is maintaining the SRPP design with the B+ given. Any suggestion ie, changing cathode or anode value for betterment? signal input and output value? Or should I build a new amp that the gainclone don't suits well.As for the B+ is between 140vdc - 170vdc adjustable.

Your input is highly appreciate and hope I can made this conversion be a successful pre. Thanks all!>
