What utility allows you to convert flac and other formats to mp3, and specify the mp3 bit rate?

I use FLAC frontend to convert to wav first. A search for audio format converters should provide a bunch of options.
I found so far NCH's Switch, which doesn't allow specifying the mp3s' bit rate; and One-click, which is $30 . .
I tried Switch for a while. Jetted it. Goldwave will do what you want, but it's not a utility, it's a full-blown audio editor. And free to try.

GoldWave being a full-blown audio editor is $49 to buy> for only conversions , One-click is $19 less. WinFF doesnt seem do MP3s(!)

try a program called musicbee. it's free, open source music organiser, converts all formats, well at least FLAC and Mp3, Ogg Vorbis, ALAC, ACC, WAV. more it's actually a good music organiser, does alot.
FLAC frontend converts FLAC>WAV and back using an 88KB executable. CDex converts wave to mp3, and a lot more. No fuss.
Yeah i'd recommend you give it ago. I don't know what support it has for audio devices(i don't own one), but everything else it has fits the requirments.I've tried alot of mediaplayers, iTunes is pretty good, MusicBee is a touch better IMO.
