So I'm looking for low ESR electrolytics. Some web sites (Digi-Key, Mouser) specify ESR as ohms in their filters (eg. 17.1 mohm). Other sites or manufacturers data sheets indicate a Ripple Current value (eg. 7.71 Arms at 5kHz). Is there a formula for converting from (m)ohms ESR to Amps ripple current?
The two are not directly related as such.
