Control of PGA2310

What is the simplest imaginable controller for the TI PGA2310 or PGA4311 volume controllers? Is there a circuit on the internet?

These are called "digitally controlled analog volume controllers", but I want to use them with analog amps. So I just want a simple way to "dial-in" the volume: in fact, using a standard potentiometer would be ideal.

I want to daisy-chain a few of them together and use them to adjust at least 6 power amplifier modules for my active speakers.

Search the digital, chipamps and pass labs for more information about the PGA2310 controller.

Till, one of the forum members, developed a website with clear instructions and a program for the microcontroller. He also sells programmed microcontrollers, without profit. When you have the programmed microcontroller, building the volume control is a piece of cake.
