I need a little help for sanity sake......
This track (southern rain) from ‘bless your heart’ by the Allman/Betts band released early this year has a chorus/hook “I believe in you.....” that I can’t shake as sounding familiar, as in I’ve heard the same lines and melody from another artist!?
Maybe this track was played pre-release and I heard it then? I researched it as best I could and there’s no mention of it being anything but original.....I’d hate to think they ganked it! Anyone have any ideas?

Damon Fowler has a quick and slick style that’s refreshing, good enough in fact to join up with the dickey betts band (who was one of the original founders of the allman bros band)

This song ‘grit my teeth’ was prior to that (I can see why he caught their attention!)

Boogie beasts is the name of this band from Belgium, the stying is rather interesting on this track ‘coming home to you’ from the ‘come and get me’ album (2016)

here's one that grabs my attention for not only the unique sounding guitar work but the vocals have a distinct accent which at first I thought was Cajun until I researched it a little, what your hearing is gabrielle delta who is of Italian/Argentinean decent.
it's got to be the coolest sounding rendition of the classic 'big boss man' I've ever heard!

Whatever it was it was high energy, glad you enjoyed it. I saw Wilko Johnson and Norman Watt-Roy, bass player with The Blockheads in a pub in Birmingham some years ago.......back playing in small pubs to a small crowd.......great fun.

Je Conte doesn’t have much information on the net, but he does have a decent sound, here is ‘down by the bayou’ which is the title track of the album.

Not quite sure which is better the vocals or the pickin......one thing for sure is together Shemekia Copeland (daughter of the late great Johnny Copeland) and Arthur Neilson are pure magic!
