Conrad Johnson's Solid State Amplifier Series "Motif"-new for me:Are there any Infos?

From a guy, that have purchased a MS50, I have heard, this amps sounds like Class A solid state resp. like good sounded tube amps. Nevertheless this amps don't operate in class-A mode at the output.

What is here very special in the circuit topology?

There are little information on this power amp. I guess it uses an bjt or fet LTP and a fet or mosfet VAS and a mosfet output stage based on Hitachis application note from that time.
