You insert the ribbon and then push the plastic piece into the connector.
It should hold the cable as it works by compression.

hello,
I know how it works but one side of the lock piece is broken. Ribbon is not fixed.
In fact I need complete connector to replace small plastic lock but I don't know the brand and model ?

It is called an IDC for insulation displacement connector. You can find them at any of the big suppliers like Digikey. Just find the same exact number of pins and spacing and cut 5he old one off very close to the connector and squeeze the new one on.
yes. It was mounted in flighcase (live use) and the ribbon gently came out. Easy failure to detect !Are You sure the ribbon doesn't hold. Usually it does. Doesn't seem a flip type ?
I can use hard solution (glue....) but it's better if can restore it as manufactured.
I sometimes had the same trouble in old CD and CDROM players. I usually insert the ribon in the connector as usual. As the locking part is broken or missing, with a hot solder iron apply the tip to melt both pieces together. Its only one time, but it works.

No! Use strong adhesive since it can be removed easily if needed. On laptops it's widely used.
It's not an IDC. In an IDC the insulation is pierced by a metal fork that makes contact with the conductor in the cable. With the connectors shown in Post 1, the metal pins in the connector grab onto the flex cable and the plastic bit that's broken off here holds the cable in place. Without that plastic bit, the cable will pop out.It is called an IDC for insulation displacement connector.
The connector shown here is an FFC (Flat Flex Connector). Digikey lists them under FFC, FPC (Flat Flexible) connectors. 0.5 mm is a common pin pitch.
