Dear Friends,
I have a QA-1650 and i would like to connect it to my PS2. Could someone please advise me on this. Currently the cable that i have which connects my ps2 to my tv has the 3 RCA pins. But unfortunately the qa-1650 does not support this. I was planning on getting a PS2 to S-video cable since the qa-1650 has the S-Video input, would this work?
How about the sound, how can i connect the ps2 to a dedicated sub-woofer or speakers via an amplifier?
All suggestions are greatly appreciated, thank you very much.
regards,
Ravi 🙂

You can connect the yellow RCA video output from the PS2 to the yellow RCA video input on the 1650 or you can use the s-video as you suggested. The RCA audio outputs from the PS2 can be connected to your amplifier using a RCA female to 3.5mm male adapter. That is assuming that the amplifier has standard computer like sound input 3.5mm jack. Your games will play thru the 1650 and the sound will go thru the amplifier

Dear Cookie,
Thanks for the reply, that was really helpful. Although there is something i need to check. I know the yellow RCA lead is the video output from the PS2 and i previously tried connecting that to the input of the qa-1650 but i could not view anything from the PS2 thats the reason i was asking about S-Video. So theoretically when i plug the video output (yellow RCA) to the qa-1650 i shoul dbe able to see the image projected right? Do i have to change any settings on the QA-1650?
Anyway, thanks for the reply, it gives me a better idea on connecting the audio inputs, much appreciated. I will try connecting the PS2 using the yellow RCA again tonight and let you know on the outcome.
with my best regards,
Ravi
