The way I read the manual, the connections to the amp or amplifiers are only meant to be made through the Speakon connectors.Hi guys,
I need help connecting the StK SP-153 speakers through the screw terminals.
How to connect them to one amp, and how through Bi-amp.
There are also jumpers that may need to be removed?
Thanks!
You might find screw terminals that equate to + and - when the link bars are in the FULL RANGE configuration, but there is no indication of which they might be.
When the one upper and three lower 6 pin terminal strip link bars are configured in the FULL RANGE set up, pin 1- and 1+ of the Speakon are used to power the speaker, as depicted in your #1 photo.
In BI-AMP mode, those four FULL link bars would be removed and two link bars placed in the BI-AMP link positions on the upper terminal strip. 1- and 1+ of the Speakon power the woofer, 2- and 2+ power the mid/high speakers.
If the internal LAMP FUSE has burned out (if it has one), the tweeter (and possibly the mid) won't work.
Resistance across those terminals should be under an ohm or so, if it's open, the lamp has burned out, hopefully before the driver(s) it protects.
Have fun, good luck!
