Sorry, I couldnt find this in the search.
I`m trying to connect my mp3 player to my car radio, only it doesnt have a line-in. So i want to try and make something to feed the signal directly in the antenna input. I have seen a few devices that can do it but they are too expensive. Does anyone know of a schematic how to build such a device?

Ramsey Electronics makes a line level to FM Band modulator that will allow your radio to pick up and play back your MP3 player through your car radio.

It is built around a Rohm IC. By the time you buy the chip and parts, you would be better off just buing the kit. PLus the people at Ramsey are good people and deserve support.
There are devices that look like a cassette tape with a wire coming out one end. You put the cassette into your deck and the wire into a line out on the MP3 player. This puts your MP3 player signal on your tape play back head. They work OK and should be 10.00 to 15.00 USD.
Hope this helps get you some music,

I see RF transmitters designed specifically for this task going for $20-$40. It just plugs into your cigarette lighter for power, then accepts the line out from your MP3 player...and broadcasts over an FM stereo channel.
Would this solve your problem?

I've seen something called Neo where it can connect to virtually any factory head unit.
