I wonder if anyone goes back and retrofits their builds when more stringent standards are enacted?
I do revise my old builds when I feel that they need improvements. It's not mandatory to do this on a DIY amplifier, of course, but the safety standard readings increase knowledge and contribute to the goal of building better things, so I find it useful.
I tend to take them apart and double check my primary wiring when I sell or gift a piece I build. Soldered 1/4” faston connectors with heat shrink where ever I use them, my preferred method now is to merge to a euro blocks.
