hi is there any drawbacks to connecting heatsinks in series to make a large one for output transistors?

What exactly do you mean?
How are you going to connect them 'in series'? Edge to edge? How are you going to ensure a snug fit? Short edges? Or back-to-back?
You better explain a bit more the exact physical layout you intend...

could you mean parallel?
If there are alternative routes for heatflow then I call that parallel.
If all the heatflow must pass, in sequence, through all the heatsinks then I define that as in series.

Why? As long as there is no severe DC offset the same current pass N and P transistors. Cooling symmetry (P N) will be required though.
using separated hetasinks for N transistors and seperated for P is guarantee of thermal run away

wrong even audio signal it shelf migh include pos or neg peaks of diferent magnitute that might drive the p or the n side of the amp warmer than the other ....now if the vbe multiplier is attached on the other side will not sense that and if the amp is pushed then kabooooooom

yes sorry i should have been more clear, yes they would be connected edge to edge, and the pcb and output trannys would sandwich a piece of aluminium angle which would in turn run the length of both heatsinks.

That will work just fine , just use lots of thermal grease and 1/8" angle. I've done 9" X 1/8" angle , 2 pair OPS on 4 AMD processor HS's with no forced air - no issues.
