Confused with speaker size + crossover

Good night,

I have a AV Receiver and I'm connecting it to my PC Soundcard (Auzentech X-fi Forte 7.1) in 5.1 using the Receiver 5.1 analog inputs (3.5mm to RCA).

I have the following questions:

Should I set my soundcard as Large\small speakers OR set it in the AV Receiver?;

Should I set a general Crossover for the 5 satellites in my soundcard and redirect anything below to the subwoofer, OR should I set the crossover in the Receiver?

ps: Attached pics show my soundcard with large vs small speakers (I can also set separately by each set of speakers like in the receiver).

Thank You
guily

I have the Z5500 too and they are amazing, since 2005 bought for 250€ in promotion, they are still fully working and still what I currently use...

But recently I bought a bigger home theatre however they actually sound worse than the Z5500, they are not very clear for gaming 🙁

For the Z5500 I use my soundcard as small which is the default and I set the crossover to 80hz and increase slightly the treble and they sound pretty damn good, much better than default.

Also the Z5500 subwoofer is damn good, I bought a Auna 10 inch sub and it's a pile of garbage, they gave me money back, it only makes rattling noise and can't use it as subwoofer, now I don't have a subwoofer to connect to my amp, will try using the Z5500 subwoofer with it later to see how it works, however it will probably sound much worse than connected to my soundcard directly because the Z5500 amp also redirects a bit of the front channels to the subwoofer and not just using the "orange" 3.5mm jack as Sub\Center.
