Hi,
Two Aurasound NS8s per sub (sealed) might have worked
at $20 each. But I can't find the drivers any more.

4x5" drivers give the same area of a 10" driver.
For a loud movie night, a pair of ported 6" TB subwoofer drivers were plenty enough. Granted, they "only" hit 40Hz - I know most home theatre lovers won't count this as enough extension. For a UK living room (ours is 11' by 16'), and >100w per side, they were plenty.
It was a teenager-only night, so it wasn't exactly quiet: sofa vibrations aplenty.
tvrgeek,
For most UK livingrooms, 200L is far too large. Have you seen the size of the livingrooms over here?
60L would be considered big over here.

The 12 inch Peerless works great in a 60L sealed.
Is the depth of the bowl sufficient to fit an 8" driver? I know that it will be worse for the volume, but that I will figure out later.
@Jakubg, yes you could fit this over most 8" drivers. I remember putting over some old Celestion 12" drivers, just.
First thing that comes to mind, speaker theory aside... mounting and keeping it rigid will be a hassle in itself!
