Thanks for the clarification. Nevertheless, I'm going to continue listening and tweaking, as I enjoy the sound. Till someone with measurement gear and the enthusiasm comes along to improve this scheme.Sorry, i forgot about this thread, since there is nothing new here.
When it comes to your question, no, definitely no. Planars are mostly dipolar, with sound radiating back and front.
Whats the point having sound from planar bouncing back to mid? Some kind of sound effect?
Btw, the link points to amt tweeter, not planar...
JBL uses this arrangement in one of their higher end speakers. I've wondered if the newer really small Neo compression drivers could be used inside of maybe a deep 15 inch woofer. Instead of the horn path needing to fit through the voice coil it could mount completely in front of the cone and use a proper waveguide. Genelec seems to be able to produce very good polor response while having the woofers covered by the front baffle.

Why don't you measure it yourself? If someone else measures his own speakers, which are totally different than yours, how is it relevant for you? Thanks for the clarification. I have done pseudo coaxial speakers many times in the past, some are even being used till today. Here are some projects like that including measurements.
Remember, to measure is to know. Otherwise its just a wild guess.
