Working on a SoundLab CD player (part of a Coomber 2241). There's one piece of the circuit board which I cannot identified, only marking on it is "8643", and it's marked X1 on the circuit board. Fuse?
X1 is a crystal by convention
8643 is a very non standard frequency and I have never seen a 8 MHz crystal in that package.
It is possible that 8643 means week 43 1986
That package is more likely a 32.768 KHz watch type crystal
