Hi, I seem to recall these (normally) resetted themselves when the overcurrent situation was solved thus they are very not like fuses. They are overcurrent protectors. Am I wrong?! That is also the reason they are in a semiconductor package and why they are called IC protectors but since it is fashion to call things by the wrong name you may call them fuses 🙂
Had to replace a few in the past for being open continuously so they sometimes fail. The more recent versions are flat and mustard colored.
