Component Analysers

I have a number of component testers; none is infallible. If a test is important then it's best in true engineering fashion to make the measurement using three completely independent test principles, or at the very least multiple methods. Often much is learned by trying to understand when three different test methods give different results. Having said that and despite its low price I find the LCR-T1 an invaluable tool. It's so inexpensive that it's a no-brainer to have one.

I have got a TC1 and it it good for general testing with the added much overlooked TV remote code reader facility.
For heavy duty testing I built my own tester in the 1970s with the aim of reproducing the graphs in data sheets.
It still works.
