completed 5-channel UCD-180 (pics)

here is another recent project completion. its a 5-channel prototype amp i built.

it uses 5 UCD-180's, an 800VA transformer, and a shared supply. it really sounds fantastic. all the UCD stuff does really.

Nice! Think I'll have to do a 3 or 5 channel for my home theatre, too, once I'm done with a 4-channel NCD with a couple of 1300VA trafos and 12(!) Jensen 15000 uF caps. You don't have to go for lightweight SMPS and no fins just because you can, right? 😀
 
Hope you don't mind me adding a 3D model of my little monster, too. It's a stereo amp with four channels, which will be run with an active crossover. Each pair of amps share a 1300VA trafo and dual bridges, but they have their separate caps.

I'm using 15000 uF Jensen 4-pole caps, two pairs for each bass amp and a single pair for each high amp. By advice from Lars Claussen, I'm separating the treble amp and caps from the bass amp/caps with a 1 ohm resistor at the bridges.
