Another project im on with at the moment if anyone is interested is a pair of celestion ditton 22 speakers that had terrible water damaged cabinets so i built some brand new cabinets only i used thicker material than the chipboard they used, they are an exact replica to the original, i did manage to save the front baffles with the speaker cutouts which saved me some time, anyway seing as the speaker units are in mint condition i thought it would be worth the trouble to bring em back to lif

MDF over chip board. That should help. I would dispense with the protruding front edge and do a large radius. On my 44's I used a 1/2 inch felt pad to reduce diffraction problems and it was behind the grill.
I seriously would add some bracing. The 44's had a neat trick, the mid chamber was a cardboard tube that connected to the rear wall.

This is terrific, Mr AudioFreeeek! Very nice work indeed. I see the interwebs is quite short of detail on the crossover, which is a thing I always enjoy seeing. Celestion always used very good components, but a schematic is as rare as hen's teeth for the Celestion Ditton 22.
A classic three way speaker. A thing of great loveliness. Keep posting and working! I shall look forward to reading your adventure. 😎

Just thought I would chime in with a semi irrelevant comment.
When I was 16 I found 1 working Ditton speaker being chucked out on the street. It was the 12 inch version with 12 inch passive radiator. Before I knew what a sub woofer was I had placed it under my bed running off another junk find amp. Sounded incredible.
