Anyone on this forum recently made a amp with SMD parts? I noticed a few people here in this thread:

Not much was said for the comparison of sound quality. It would be nice to have short traces and low profile pcbs. I am just wondering if it is sonically better.
As for pcbs, it is easier to layout the smd parts, since they are smaller. I started thinking about this when I saw this picture in a German audio mag (Image Hifi)
