How much does quality plywood cost in Germany? And how much/what is the final finish?
It depends on where you buy it, but I would prefer the local wood whosaler, I got mine 30mm birch plywood there for 140€ (2500x1250), at the hardwarestores its like 300€.

@AlexZB You can take a look at the Markaudio Website, there are also posted a lot of box schematics which should work well with the drivers.

Sounds like a pretty good price, hardware store price would be more what i expect.

30mm is way overkill. 18mm is often overkill. We employed 15mm whenever we could.

It is, its a little curious here, at the hardware stores the sell less quality for higher prices

It truely is, no doubt, was more meant to be a reference not an recomendation, I took the 30mm just because its fancy to have something what feels that hefty

Thanx for the clarification
Er, you have to look at some of the enclosures P10 has designed, to know what he means by "a box that does not produce audible box resonances". Some are just stacked full of internal structure, which could be loosely termed as "bracing". Far more than just a diagonal strip glued across an internal panel surface. One look at it and you can say that box for sure isnt going to resonate -

But it's a lot of work to cut, fit-finish and assemble something like that, just for 1 speaker type. I'd want to be pretty sure I'm happy with my choice of driver, before putting together a set of cabinets that complex. You could probably use them to hold up two wheels of your car for servicing, if they dont work out as speaker enclosures.
