Commercial Gainclone kit- building instructions

Elna, Nichicon, Nippon, Keltron, Panasonic, Sprague, Taicon, TDK, Vishay, any standard brand, just stay away from Chines, and preferably 105 C rated.
I'm planning to recap my old amp, but its difficult nowadays to buy Keltron in retail qty. I had recapped old Norge amps with good quality Pinsumi , Rubycon cap from local Lamington road, Mumbai market. No one sells in retail at lamington nowadays or one has to settle down for cheap Chinese caps. Online rates are thrice expensive with unknown date codes. Any idea about where to get these in retail?

I get mine locally, at least 5 retail shops here , and a wholesale trader as well, he sells packets of 500 / 1000 Keltron, never did ask how many in a packet, no need.
The traders know me, and will offer Japanese or really good Chinese if I need a value which is not available in Keltron.

Best to ask a local TV tech, and see if he can source them for you, the extra money may be worth the saving in time for you.

Hi,

It has been a while being active in these forums..

Just wanted to share my finished LM3875 integrated from the Audiosector kit that had been waiting in the drawers for some time. Nothing too special here;

200VAC / 2x18V transformer from Noratel, Sweden.,
Alps 50K pot,
Elma selector switch,
Case and knobs from eBay.

Voltages at rectifier board:
V+ 25.8 / V- 25.8

Dc Offset (pot min /pot full):
Left 9.6mV / 52.5mV
Right 9.2mV / 52.3mV

Lowered the gain by replacing the 680r resistor with 1K. Could do more but let's keep it like this for now. Amp is completly silent, no hisses or hums through speakers. Small mechanical noise from transformer though. And still getting bit of a instant pop (arching) after power-off and because of this I will be trying a suppression cap accross transformer pimaries.

All in all, nice project and good sound! This will be my main amp for a while as I need to do some case work with my 2w/ch SE/84 tube amp.

Have a Nice weekend!

Very nice build! Can you give us a source where you have bought the case?
Of course!
I have bought my cases usually from "Douk Audio" / Nobsound" shop on German eBay. There I could select shipping option from inside EU.

Shop of course is a Chinese and the selection seem to vary a bit... But decent prices and quality has been good so far. I guess there are many similar shops around.
