OnAudio,
thanks for the references. I had already ordered some Elna capacitors of that same value when I order the other parts for the build, I'll assume they are comparable for now. On the small film capacitor so that I am clear on this subject. From what I have read the film capacitors value is not that important right, just that there is a film capacitor in parallel with the electrolytic cap and removes issues with those caps. So if I happen to have a 10 or 100 mfd 100v cap sitting around would it matter if I just used that value or is there a problem with using a higher value cap? On the rectifier side are there any special qualities of one over another. Does the speed of the rectifier have anything of consequence here, would a Schottky diode bridge have any advantage here?

Here is a sample supply. The film is an X cap.
There is no film over the big caps. Some prefer faster diode switching, while others prefer the normal stuff.😉
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

OnAudio,
Thanks for the response. I know I already have some bridge rectifiers like this in my parts bin that I got from Apex Jr. and are just sitting around. I have some transformers also that I will have to look at their rating and see what is required here. They are not torroids but shouldn't matter.

I did a little calculus there and that appears to be that two of us have ordered boards..... I hope that there are going to be more than that.... Thanks for all the information Harrison.

The assumption is that these are among the planets finest amplifiers.
The steering committee will comprise the current 16 member donor group who donated and voted for the latest project FREE PCB project amplifier. Their term expires with the incoming of a new donor group.
During their term the steering committee will oversee the design and fabrication the selected free PCB.
100 PCBs will be made
32 belong to the steering committee
32 will go on offer as free PCBs at a secret time and date set by the committee
32 will go on offer as a gift for a small donation of about $30 (The 16 persons who donate will select the new FREE project and will become the new steering committee)
4 will be split up by persons recruited by steering committee such as PCB designer

DigiKey delivery today. Parts were here in two days through the post office. Someone lit a fire under that snail and I can't believe they got here that fast. Now I just wait for Mouser and I have most everything to build the boards.
Hi,
received my 2 pcb's today tanx a lot.
regards,

Cool 😎 Thank you too. Looking forward to your build and review.
OnAudio,
I hope to start building this board perhaps today. I have to set up a small work area that I can work and do this right. Still waiting on the Mouser parts and a few things I will need to do the psu. I'll have to figure out what I am going to put it all in, probably order a nice chassis to put it in.
