Hi HarrisonBoards arrived today, thanksBetter get my psarts order off to Mouser!Cheers for the PSU info, wil check out this over the next week http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/solid-state/216409-power-supply-resevoir-size.html
Cool 😎
Seriously...20A!
Is that peak?
Conservatively Peak 😉
Boards arrived today. Safe and sound... Crap - I have not finished the SYMEF yet 🙁
Cool 😎. Remember you left me on edge of seat

Yes I don`t know how you can cope with that tension?
Jack Bauer is nothing compared to this excitement 🙂
Early Weekend now..

Ok the VA does not give a lot of hope for improvement
but it is possible
I really would like to get back into building things.

Comeon guys. For a $30 donation (which is the fee for shipping most parcels)
1. You get two free 1DIFFQC PCBs.
2. You also get another two free PCBs from the selected project amplifier
3. You get to listen to probably the worlds best exotic amplifiers
4. You create an opportunity for another set of FREE PCBs (just keep your eyes on the forum 😉
5. You will have contributed to enhancing the state of the art
Comeon wheres your sportsmanship and team spirit 😀

OnAudio,
what is the intended output power of the 1DIFFEF amplifier. What makes this such a cutting edge design? I see you are based in the US as I am. Are these going to be produced here? I'll look for more information or point me to a thread that talks about this design. I would be willing to take a gamble on trying my hand at something like this if there will be enough support to build it correctly and it meets a need. One of the designs appears to be a chip amp and three appear to be differential amplifiers. What are the distinctions between the three diff amps and why are there three versions to choose from? Can we get a simple explanation of the differences without making it a long course in amplifier design? I am a noob at this end of the chain and this could be more fun and a better way to learn than building a chip amp.

conservatively 100Watts 4 ohm. These were produced here.
You can find out more here Gallery and here http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/solid-state/199196-new-dawn-1diffqc-amplifier-26.html

OnAudio,
I read through the compete original thread and I see that this project went through many changes on the road to where it is today. Do you have an approximate cost of the components to build the amplifier section without the PSU? Could I just build it as listed in the parts list without having to trim values to get the intended results? This may be over my head to build, but I wouldn't mind trying to do it. I just don't want to be smelling burnt resistors like I read in the beginning, that wouldn't be much fun. Each channel is rated at 100 watts into 4 ohms. What is that based on? At what distortion level is that? Hopefully not 10%......... Just kidding, it wouldn't be much of an audiophile amp at that level. Tell me how to go about ordering a set of boards but don't expect me to have it built in a week.

Thanks Steven for joining us. This is a fun research project that features very interesting amplifiers. They are based on a 'formula'. It is likely that no amplifier can better these exotic amplifiers when it comes to listening pleasure. To confirm this members construct and report back their findings which will be consolidated. The target is 30,000 reviews. You will get the help you need from members or me to get things up and running.
Paypal a donation of $30 to fund the FREE PCBs to info@harrisonaudiolabs.com, being one among the first five the lab will use its own funds to get the boards to you. You should have them by saturday.
Yes you can order the BOM as is http://www.harrisonaudiolabs.com/Amplifiers/1DIFFQC/1DIFFQCTIP142BOM.xls
You also need to select the project for the next free PCBs which you also will receive. That gives you an opportunity to compare two exotic amplifiers head to head 😀

I'll be out for a while and will look at the other selection as soon as I get back and make a choice. I did send an email to the address given and will look an answer.

I sent an email to the info@harrissoundlabs.com and I am not sure who or what to make the payment to. I assume that the total is $36.00 for the donation and the shipping. Correct me if I am wrong, I have never made a payment this way with Paypal. Usually just to Ebay and that is a no brainer.
Hi Steven,
The right address is
info@harrisonaudiolabs.com
Just send the donation of $30. We will meet cost of shipping as you qualify.
kind regards,
Harrison.
