Hi Harrison
Can you upload a copy of the BOM as a Excel file so that it can be uploaded directly to Mouser?
Cheers

Are you looking for something new and revolutionary, something that might make you go wow! Then you are in the right thread, grab a couple of these beautiful babies and discover something new. http://www.harrisonaudiolabs.com/Gallery/Amplifiers/1DIFFQC/PauloPT/PauloPT_1DIFFQC.htm
Dont be left behind grab a couple of these http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/solid-state/217539-32-pcbs-available-part-2-a.html#post3125241
may possibly have tried them, or at least thought about it. I dont like being 'sold to' outside of a commercial environment though.

There were free PCBs but they are over now. You could make your own PCB. Do allow me to sell you the idea 😀 . Lend us your ears and opinion.
free pcbs? Ok. That wasnt clear to me. My mistake. FET amps interest me a little, not the MOSFET though. Ive built 1 amp, Elliot sounds P3 bipolar, not the P3A. doubling the OP stage, certainly beefed up the sound. Very old transistors though, i used TIP2055 2955 rather than the 2N type. Best i could get of the tx type, Bourns i think. Worth the extra cost per transistor, 3 times the cost. It would be nice to try a modern device though.
Hi Harrison
A few more questions, in your post # 144 http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/solid-state/199196-new-dawn-1diffqc-amplifier-15.html#post2954908
You said this is a basic PSU design, questions
1, Have you added to this design? or has anyone else worked on their PSU yet?
2, How fixed are the values? I have some nice 4700uF caps rather than the 10,000uF
3, What sort of current does the amp draw? My tranny is 120va 30-0-30 @ 2A per winding.
Cheers

What could be added
1. Slow start depends on how big your caps and transformer are
2. Bleeders, to keep you safe during service
3. CRC , to get that ripple down further
etc
It will work just fine as is 😉
That should also work, hope you have been following this exciting thread http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/solid-state/216409-power-supply-resevoir-size.html2, How fixed are the values? I have some nice 4700uF caps rather than the 10,000uF
You can get a bigger tranny later. With the right load this amplifier will keep the tranny you have busy, the tranny will run slightly warmer. The amplifier should comfortably draw 20A.3, What sort of current does the amp draw? My tranny is 120va 30-0-30 @ 2A per winding.

Yes it would be wonderful to have you join us. You are likely to discover something totally new and exciting that you didnt know about your speakers and that you like or you might reaffirm what you already know. It will be worth it 😉

thank you for the schematic
I think at this point and at my age and EYES such a project is a bit beyond me
back when I was able to build many things during spare moments at work.
I built an all triode amp in an hour at work
I used it for the Kitchen speaker. 1971

normally 10nF would be across the switch stopping it from arcing when opened.and yes check the zeners........
......make your PS simple like this for the time being
MJ15003. Inexpensive, available in TO-3 and more refined than the '55s. A good package. It would be nice to try a modern device though.
