Yes, it had to be subtle. That way a few people will think it genuine! No doubt someone will claim that it is genuine - a work of art in itself. When ridicule of something is embraced as being part of that thing we know that thing lovers have lost all discernment and self-respect and have floated off into their own little universe.

Sokal found the same: some people embraced his hoax, thus confirming their own foolishness.
