cold solder paste to repair panel sl3

good afternoon, does anyone know if cold solder paste can be used to replace graphite tape on martin logan electrostatic panels?
I have one that sounds looser than the other and once cleaned it remains the same, I had thought of highlighting with cold solder paste and incidentally opening a connection line on the other side of the panel to improve conductivity.
Thank you

There is the so-called PCB repair paint. Another alternative is the conductive paint normally used for car rear windshield heater repairing. I would not use anything containing graphite, it could easily create a leakage path.

I have used conductive paints as well, but they can be rather costly.

Graphite can be really messy if you are not careful, but mixed up in a binder such as PVA it is just like any other conductive paint but with a bit of a higher resistance and the same amount of care should be used when using either product.

For ESL's which operate at high voltages this little bit of increase of overall resistance of the connection is nil/irrelevant!

The plus side is that Graphite doesn't corrode like copper does and does not form a non-conducting oxide layer like you get when using aluminium tapes or foil's as connections.

However I do use the latter or a combination of both on my ESL builds as seen in the pictures and I never had an issue with my panels even after +10 years service.

All thought out well, before I built them in 2003. 😉
