Hi, does anyone know if you can remove the horn from the B&C 6FHX51 by removing the screws? Or if there are any other coaxial drivers where you can remove both the compression driver and the horn. Thanks

Found out B&C makes a recone service kit for this driver. Therefore, I'm guessing B&C probably made the horn removable to install the kit.

Thanks for the info about Beyma. I'm going to see what happens when you attach a compression driver with an ATH throat plug (start the horn from the phase plug exit) and a throat extension duct to pass through the long distance of a coaxial woofer. For example, rather than restrict the choice of compression driver to the coaxial woofer entry diameter I'm going to see how it works when you use a compression driver that would otherwise be too large.
It looks like PHL has high quality coaxial woofers with a short horn, optional compression driver entry, and a special foam surround intended for HiFi. However, I'd be concerned about the foam surround durability if the coaxial is modified into a multiple entry horn. For a regular coaxial home use it looks like one of the better options. They make it tempting to forgo a MEH modification.

I can't tell if the compression driver can be removed from the woofer on the Faital Pro coaxials. It looks like the diaphragm replacement is below a phase plug.
