My next aim is to build a 'Sijosae' discrete rail splitter for the Banzai amp, instead of the resistor divider splitter which should be fun 😀
I've built a cmoy amplifier and I like it very much. But my question is could I use a NE5532 to turn it into a preamp? I've looked over the cmoy schematic and schematic for a NE5532 preamp and it looks almost the same!! There's a few 0.1uf capacitors on the NE5532 schematic that bypass the +12v and -12v to ground, 100pf to signal input to ground that's it.
I know I probably have to change the resistors to change the gain. It will be used to boast the out signal to a friends computer speakers. nothing really high end!!

Sure, you can always use one of these to provide some voltage gain. As you noticed, it's the same kind of circuit.
